Woman arrested in Leedmark on theft charge GLEN BURNIE

A Baltimore woman was arrested and charged with theft after a security guard in Leedmark reportedly stopped her as she waited in line at the cash register Monday.

According to the police report, the woman was stuffing several things into her coat and a diaper bag and then paid for some of the items at the cash register. When the security guard confronted her, she refused to pay for the other items, the report says.

Tammy M. King, 30, of the 2600 block of Frederick Ave. was taken to Northern District to be charged.

Woman's purse stolen near Giant

A 40-year-old woman was robbed of her purse Friday night outside the Giant supermarket in the 6600 block of Ritchie Highway, county police reported.

Officers said the woman was walking to her car at 8:45 p.m. when the robber snatched her purse and ran. Police described the man as white with a husky build and brown hair. He was wearing white jeans and a light blue windbreaker with a baseball hat.
