Here's what to look for if you are traveling in the Baltimore metropolitan area this week. This list of highway projects includes only newly announced work, not continuing construction, which is extensive on several highways, including Interstate 95, U.S. 50/301 and the Baltimore-Washington Parkway.

New highway projects

Interstate 695 inner loop between northbound Interstate 83 and Charles Street -- Expect a single right-lane closure from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. today for bridge-deck repairs.

I-695 inner loop between Providence Road and Loch Raven Boulevard -- Two left lanes will be closed from 6 to 10 a.m. today for overhead sign maintenance.

Northbound I-83 between I-695 and Timonium Road -- Two right lanes will be closed from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. today for overhead sign maintenance.

MTA route changes:

The MTA has scheduled the following bus route changes for this week. Information: 539-5000; TTY for the hearing-impaired, 539-3497.

Temporary route changes

Nos. 1, 2, 5, 8, 20, 36, 91 -- Effective until 6 a.m. tomorrow, the routes of these lines will be temporarily changed because of construction and crane operation on Baltimore Street between Charles and Light streets. Buses eastbound on Baltimore Street will turn north on Charles Street, east on Lexington Street, south on St. Paul Street, east on Baltimore Street, then resume regular route. No change in westbound service.
