First person I call after the news: I don't call anyone. We have a meeting and then I rush home to my husband and two dogs.

Most embarrassing moment on the air: Jerry Turner imitated my laugh, which made me laugh harder. He, in turn, lost it. Neither of us regained our composure for the rest of the show.

Favorite TV show: "Cops," "Jeopardy," "Key West" and reruns of "Bonanza."

First person I call after the news: If it's a bad night, a friend to ask if he watched and to get a critique. It's true that a bad night is never as bad as it seems once you look back at the tape. On good nights, I call the same friend to yell at him if he missed it.

Most embarrassing moment on the air: I burped. I drank soda before going on the air. I never did that again.
