N. Carroll girls await opponent

March 06, 1993

North Carroll High's girls basketball team will have to wait one more day to find out its opponent for the Class 2A, Region I quarterfinal. The Panthers will also have to wait two more days to play in the region title game, which was originally scheduled for today.

North Carroll was supposed to meet the winner of Thursday's Middletown vs. North Hagerstown region semifinal in the region title game last night, that contest was postponed because of the severe rainstorm. It was moved to yesterday but was postponed again last night because Middletown was forced to call off classes yesterday after the rainstorm.

The two teams will try again tonight at Middletown at 7 p.m. The winner will travel to North Carroll on Monday night at 7 p.m. for the region title game and a chance to advance to the state semifinals.
