Snow postpones W. Lake-Catoctin

March 05, 1993

Snowstorms in Western Maryland forced the postponement of yesterday's Class 1A, Region II girls basketball semifinal between Wilde Lake and Catoctin.

The game was scheduled to be played at Wilde Lake, the second-seeded team in the region. But Catoctin, a winner over Brunswick in Tuesday's opening-round game, was snowed in by a storm that dumped 8 to 10 inches on the area.

The game was rescheduled for today at 6 p.m. at Wilde Lake.
