SHOOTING: Northeastern District -- A man received a minor wound to his abdomen at his home in the 1800 block of Chilton St. Thursday morning when a gun pointed at him by another man reportedly discharged accidentally and the bullet struck a large metal button on the victim's jacket. The incident remains under investigation and no arrest had been made.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A 44-year-old woman was walking across a parking lot in the 7600 block of Harford Road Thursday afternoon when a man knocked her to the pavement and stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at more than $300.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A gunman robbed the E Z convenience store in the 5800 block of Hillen Road Thursday afternoon of an undisclosed sum.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Someone entered a house in the 1700 block of Abbotston St. through the kitchen door Thursday and stole two VCRs, two telephones, a 25-inch TV and a microwave oven.

THEFT/ARREST: Western District -- Police arrested a man Wednesday who attempted to leave the Farm Fresh store in the 1400 block of N. Monroe St. without paying for items valued at nearly $40. A store security officer found the property hidden inside the man's jacket.

SHOOTING: Western District -- A resident of the 2400 block of W. Cold Spring Lane was in the 1900 block of Mosher St. Wednesday night when a gunman demanded his money. After taking an undisclosed sum of money from the victim, the gunman shot him in the back when he attempted to flee. The gunman escaped and the victim was taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center for treatment.

SHOOTING: Western District -- Two men, one with a handgun, shot a resident of the 1900 block of Clifton Ave. in the leg and groin late Wednesday night in the 1600 block of W. Baltimore St. The victim was treated at Bon Secours Hospital.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered the C & P food market in the 500 block of N. Fremont Ave. Thursday morning after entering a vacant apartment from above and stole property of unknown value.

THEFT: Western District -- Property valued at nearly $150 was stolen from a car parked in the 2400 block of Windsor Ave. Wednesday.

BURGLARY/ARREST: Western District -- Police responding to a burglary in the 1500 block of Baker St. entered the house and arrested a man who had broken in through a basement window.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 1200 block of N. Stricker St. was in the 1200 block of Laurens St. Thursday when a man threatened her and robbed her of a radio and cash, all valued at nearly $90.

THEFT: Southern District -- Someone entered the B & O Railroad Museum in the 900 block of W. Pratt St. over the past several days and stole an antique train valued at $3,000 from a display case.

THEFT: Southern District -- Tools of unknown value were stolen from a car parked in the 3400 block of 9th St. Wednesday night.

THEFT: Southern District -- Someone entered a car parked in the 100 block of S. Poppleton St. between Wednesday night and Thursday morning by breaking a window and stole property valued at $400.

THEFT/ARREST: Southern District -- Police arrested a man Thursday who attempted to leave the Rite Aid pharmacy in the 1200 block of W. Pratt St. without paying for headache medicine valued at more than $30.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- Someone entered Bob's Bar in the 1100 block of Washington Blvd. Thursday morning through a second-floor window and stole more than $100.

THEFT: Southern District -- More than $50 worth of bread was stolen from a delivery truck owned by H & S Bakery in the 600 block of S. Bond St. Thursday while it was parked in the first block of S. Gilmor St.

THEFT: Southern District -- The manager of Affordable Auto Body in the 3700 block of S. Hanover St. was expected to seek a warrant today for the arrest of a suspect who stole three company checks from the office Thursday.

Baltimore County

BURGLARY: Towson District -- Someone entered the Raymond S. Blake Jr. Agency in the 1000 block of Cromwell Bridge Road Wednesday after removing the front door from its hinges and stole property valued at more than $1,000.

BURGLARY: Cockeysville District -- A safe valued at more than $300 was stolen from an office at the MCI Corp. in the 200 block of Schilling Circle between Feb. 27 and March 3. Police declined to reveal what was in the safe.

THEFT: Cockeysville District -- Someone entered an apartment in the 200 block of Highland Ridge Road over the weekend and stole jewelry valued at $800.
