OAKLAND -- Diane Snyder scored 18 points and Carrie Ebbersberger had 14, as No. 6 seed Glenelg (10-10) surprised No. 3 seed Southern of Garrett (15-5) last night in a Class 2A, Region I quarterfinal, 56-49.
The Gladiators led 12-9 after the opening period, then outscored Southern 22-8 in the second quarter, increasing their lead to 34-17 at the half.
