BALTIMORE CITY

* ASSAULT: Western District -- A resident of the 2200 block of W. Fayette St. was driving in the 1000 block of W. Fayette St. Sunday and got into an argument with another male motorist, who pointed a handgun at him before driving off.

* ASSAULT/ARREST: Western District -- Police arrested a man Monday and were holding him pending charges that he struck a resident of the 2800 block of W. Lanvale St. several times with a piece of wood during an argument in a house in the 1100 block of N. Carrollton Ave. The victim was in good condition at University of Maryland Medical Center.

* THEFT: Western District -- A .38-caliber handgun, a box of ammunition and $300 were stolen from a house in the 900 block of Bennett Place last week.

* BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 700 block of N. Carrollton Ave. over the weekend and stole an antique mirror and a washing machine, all valued at more than $1,000.

* ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a resident of the 800 block of N. Fulton Ave. of jewelry and cash, all valued at nearly $1,300, in the 1600 block of W. Fayette St. Monday afternoon.

* BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 500 block of Brice St. over the weekend through the front door and stole property valued at more than $2,000.

* THEFT: Western District -- A car phone and a brief case, all valued at nearly $500, were stolen from a car parked in the 2200 block of Presstman St. Monday morning.

* BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a house ih the 2600 block of Rayner Ave. between Feb. 25 and Monday through a rear door and stole a 25-inch TV, a radio and a typewriter, all valued at nearly $1,000.

* ROBBERY TRY: Western District -- A man armed with a knife attempted to rob a resident of the 1100 block of Park Ave. in the 1300 block of Edmondson Ave. Monday evening but fled after the victim refused to give up his money.

* THEFT: Northern District -- Someone entered a room at Union Memorial Hospital in the 200 block of E. University Parkway Monday evening and stole a wallet containing $50.

* ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the 4500 block of Shamrock Ave. was in the 700 block of E. 41st St. Monday when he was attacked by two teen-agers, one armed with a handgun, who robbed him of $20.

* ROBBERY: Northern District -- Police were seeking a man who robbed a resident of the 2400 block of St. Paul St. of $4 Monday evening near her home when he asked her for a quarter. When the woman opened her change purse, the man grabbed it and fled.

* BURGLARY: Northern District -- Property valued at nearly $1,200 was stolen from a house in the 4500 block of The Strand over the weekend by someone who entered through a kitchen window.

* ROBBERY: Northern District -- A gunman robbed a resident of (( the 300 block of Birkwood Ave. of $7 over the weekend while the victim walked near his home.

* THEFT: Northern District -- Someone entered a house in the 100 block of W. 39th St. Monday morning and stole a ring valued at more than $1,000 from a bedroom dresser.

* STOLEN CAR: Northeastern District-- A 1994 Ford Mustang was stolen from the 3700 block of Raspe Ave. over the weekend.

* THEFT: Northeastern District -- Someone entered a car parked in the 1900 block of Belair Road over the weekend and stole a car phone and clothing, all valued at more than $1,100.

* ROBBERY: Southern District -- A resident of the 100 block of W. Cross St. was walking in the first block of E. Cross St. Monday night when one of two occupants of a car that stopped nearby exited the vehicle and robbed her of $60. The men escaped.

* ASSAULT/ARREST: Southern District -- Police arrested a 31-year-old man who struck a pregnant woman he knows in the stomach several times during an argument in the woman's apartment in the 2300 block of Seamon Ave. Monday night. The man was being held at the station pending charges. The woman was not seriously injured and tests indicated the unborn child was unharmed.

* ROBBERY: Central District -- A car vacuum valued at $30 was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of E. Madison St. Monday night.

* ROBBERY: Central District -- A man armed with a knife robbed a resident of the 1000 block of St. Paul St. of his wallet and a 40-ounce bottle of beer outside the victim's apartment Monday night.

* THEFT: Central District -- A 1992 Toyota pickup truck with Maryland tags 29A827 was stolen form the 600 block of Jasper St. Monday morning.

* ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A resident of te 5400 block of Montgomery Road in western Baltimore County was in the 3900 block of Frederick Ave. Saturday morning when a gunman robbed him of $25.

* PURSE SNATCHING: Northeastern District -- An 88-year-old resident of the 5600 block of Woodmont Ave. was about to enter her home Sunday night when a man walked onto the porch and stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at $80.
