PURSE SNATCH: Northeastern District -- An 88-year-old resident of the 5600 block of Woodmont Ave. was about to enter her home Sunday night when a man walked onto the porch and stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at $80.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Someone entered a house in the 1200 block of Linworth Ave. Sunday night with a key and stole a caller ID, ATM pass cards and other property.

SHOOTING: Southern District -- A resident of the 2900 block of Carver Road in Cherry Hill was shot in the left ankle early Monday in the 900 block of Veronica Ave. The victim was taken to Harbor Medical Center for treatment and released.

RAPE: Southern District -- Police were seeking a man who raped a resident of the 400 block of E. 20th St. in the 800 block of Sterrett St. Sunday night. The woman was treated at the University of Maryland Medical Center and released.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- A gunman robbed a resident of the 800 block of W. Fayette St. of his bike in the first block of S. Gilmor St. Sunday.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- A resident of the 100 block of S. Gilmor St. was walking near her home Monday evening when she was knocked to the ground by a man who stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at $50.

ASSAULT: Western District -- A resident of the 2200 block of W. Fayette St. was driving in the 1000 block of W. Fayette St. Sunday and got into an argument with another male motorist, who pointed a handgun at him before driving off.

ASSAULT/ARREST: Western District -- Police arrested a man Monday and were holding him pending charges that he struck a resident of the 2800 block of W. Lanvale St. several times with a piece of wood during an argument in a house in the 1100 block of N. Carrollton Ave. The victim was in good condition at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

THEFT: Western District -- A .38-caliber handgun, a box of ammunition and $300 were stolen from a house in the 900 block of Bennett Place last week.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 700 block of N. Carrollton Ave. over the weekend and stole an antique mirror and a washing machine, all valued at more than $1,000.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a resident of the 800 block of N. Fulton Ave. of jewelry and cash, all valued at nearly $1,300, in the 1600 block of W. Fayette St. Monday afternoon.

THEFT/ARREST: Northern District -- Police arrested a man over the weekend for attempting to shoplift $14 worth of cigarettes, soda and baked goods at the Super Fresh market in the 6300 block of York Road.

nTC BURGLARY/ARRESTS: Northern District -- Police arrested one adult and three juveniles over the weekend for entering a house in the 2700 block of Springhill Ave. and stealing of several pieces of property, some of which has been recovered.

THEFT: Northern District -- Someone entered an office at the Wyman Park Medical Center in the 3100 block of Wyman Park Drive and stole a purse containing cash and property, all valued at $70.

THEFT: Northern District -- A 9mm semiautomatic handgun valued at $425 was stolen from the bedroom of a house in the 6100 block of Parkway Drive over the weekend.

THEFT: Northern District -- Someone entered a student's locker at Johns Hopkins University in the 3400 block of N. Charles St. Monday and stole a wallet and a watch.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY: White Marsh District -- A 36-year-old resident of the 3700 block of Raspe Ave. was about to withdraw money from the ATM at the Signet Bank in the 6800 block of Belair Road at 10 p.m. Monday when two men, one with a handgun, ordered him to withdraw an undisclosed sum .

BANK ROBBERY: Woodlawn District -- A man robbed the Maryland National Bank in the 5700 block of Baltimore National Pike in Westview Monday of an undisclosed sum after giving a teller a note demanding money. The man did not display a weapon.

HARFORD COUNTY

STOLEN TRUCK RECOVERED: Darlington -- A 1988 Nissan pickup truck reported stolen about midnight Sunday in the 2300 block of Glen Cove Road was returned early Monday morning not far from where it was taken. Stolen from the vehicle were tools and clothing, all valued at nearly $1,400.
