POLICE

* Westminster: A stereo system and tape collection were stolen from the automobile of Guy R. Mettle of Lewis Lane near Sandymount while the car was parked Saturday in the area of Cranberry Mall. The loss was estimated at $890.

Martin H. Frank of Long Valley Road told police someone damaged his mailbox on Friday. The loss was reported to be about $20.

Ann Allen of Pleasant Road reported to police that while she was attending a meeting at the Bureau of Aging on School House Avenue, someone removed a wallet containing $5 from her purse.

FIRE

* Reese: Firefighters from Reese were dispatched to investigate a report of a fire in a building on Old Westminster Pike at 7:47 p.m. Sunday.

* Westminster: Fire units from the Westminster, Reese and Pleasant Valley fire stations responded to an electrical fire on Charles Street at 7:54 p.m. Sunday.

Units from Westminster and Reese responded to a fire alarm at Locust House apartments on Locust Street at 10:10 a.m. Monday. Units were out for 19 minutes.

* Silver Run: Firefighters from Pleasant Valley, Littlestown and Kingsdale, Pa., were dispatched for a chimney fire in a house on Humbert Schoolhouse Road at 11:03 p.m. on Sunday.

Units from Pleasant Valley, Littlestown and Kingsdale, Pa., responded to a chimney fire in a house on East Mayberry Road at 3:17 p.m. Friday.

* Mexico: Westminster and Hampstead responded to chimney fire on Leisters Church Road at 4:08 p.m. Saturday.
