ROBBERY: Eastern District -- A resident of the 5300 block of Cordelia Ave. was standing at the corner of Broadway and Preston Street Wednesday morning when a gunman robbed him of $20.

ASSAULT: Eastern District -- Police were seeking a man who attacked a resident of the 1600 block of N. Wolfe St. in the 1900 block of E. Oliver St. Wednesday morning and struck him several times with a length of wood. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital for a 3-inch laceration of the head.

BURGLARY: Eastern District -- Police responding to a burglary in the 1700 block of Crystal Ave. Tuesday night arrested two men leaving a vacant house carrying a toilet valued at $400. Charges were pending.

THEFT: Eastern District -- Someone entered the trunk of a car parked in the 1500 block of Ashland Ave. Wednesday and stole computer equipment valued at more than $1,000.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 1800 block of W. Baltimore St. Tuesday night and stole two antique heating radiators.

BREAK-IN: Western District -- Jewelry valued at more than $100 was stolen from Shears and Things in the 1000 block of W. Baltimore St. Wednesday morning.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 900 block of N. Dukeland St. Wednesday and stole a VCR valued at nearly $140.

ARREST: Western District -- Police were holding a resident of the 4900 block of Cordelia Ave. Wednesday pending charges that he attempted to rob a driver for the Checker cab company in the 200 block of N. Calhoun St. with a handgun. Police pursued the gunman to the 400 block of N. Carey St. and arrested him.

THEFT: Western District -- A drill, saw and clothing, all valued at nearly $500, were stolen from a car parked in the 2200 block of Presstman St. Wednesday morning.

THEFT: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 2600 block of W. Franklin St. Tuesday and stole a TV valued at $358.

THEFT: Western District -- A man entered a doctor's office in the 2400 block of Pennsylvania Ave. Tuesday and stole a console telephone valued at more than $500.

BREAK-IN: Northern District -- Several bottles of whiskey and cartons of cigarettes were stolen from the Crown market in the 2400 block of St. Paul St. Wednesday morning by two men seen entering the store after breaking a front window.

ASSAULT: Northern District -- Police were seeking a man who struck his girlfriend in the face and head with a baseball bat during an argument at her home in the 4100 block of Roland Ave. Wednesday morning. The woman was taken to Union Memorial Hospital and received 15 stitches to close several lacerations.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A camera, a compact disc player, an answering machine and a turntable, all valued at more than $700, were stolen from a house in the 3000 block of Frisby St. Wednesday.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY/ABDUCTION: Eastpoint -- Police were seeking two men who reportedly abducted a 30-year-old Pennsylvania man from an undisclosed location in Delaware around 2 p.m. Wednesday and drove him in his company-owned van to the Eastpoint Mall, where they struck him with a crowbar and robbed him of an unknown sum of cash. After the pair fled the van on the shopping center lot at 9:30 p.m., the victim called the police. He was taken to the Francis Scott Key Medical Center for treatment of lacerations and released.

ROBBERY: Towson District -- A woman was walking through the garage at the Towson Town Center in the 800 block of Dulaney Valley Road Wednesday night when a man got out of a black Honda parked nearby and stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at $55, before driving off.

ROBBERY/ARREST: Parkville District -- Police arrested Nicholas J. Bonner 30, of the 4100 block of Idaho Ave., early Wednesday morning and charged him with robbing a female resident of her keys and stealing her 1986 Mercury Cougar. The incident occurred in front of the victim's apartment in the 8100 block of Ridgetown Circle. Police soon recovered the car near the woman's apartment and arrested the man.
