Public hearing on landfill contamination slated for Tuesday

A meeting to address county residents' concerns about the presence of toxins in the county landfill will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Residents will be able to question representatives of the county Public Works Department, which runs the landfill, and the Health Department, which conducts residential well tests. Ground water contamination consultants, who are studying the problem, also will be available for questions.

The meeting will be at the George Howard county office building in Ellicott City.

For more information, call County Councilman Charles C. Feaga at 313-2001.
