The Performing Arts Association of Linthicum (PAAL) will bring a piano concert with a local connection to North County High School at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Doug Keegan, a graduate of the former Andover High School, which is now part of North County, will be the featured performer. He is currently studying on a five-year scholarship at the Warsaw Academy of Music in Poland.

This rising young star has performed as a soloist with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and at the Spoleto Festival and the Chopin-Kosciuszko Competition in New York, where he was a finalist.

His Linthicum concert will include the works of Hayden, Brahms and Debussy.

Come show your support for one of the area's most talented young musicians.

Tickets for PAAL concerts are available on a subscription basis only, at just $20 a ticket. This will gain admission to the Doug Keegan concert and PAAL's remaining two concerts, featuring the Dove Jazz Sextet and the internationally famous Edinburgh Quartet.

It's a great bargain, and you will be supporting the arts right here in North County.

Featured during the intermission Saturday will be an exhibit of works by the students of Marty Lenhoff, who teaches painting at the Pascal Senior Center.

PAAL is partly funded by the Anne Arundel County Commission on Culture and the Arts and the Maryland State Arts Council.

Parking for PAAL concerts is free and well lighted. The concerts are accessible to the handicapped and hearing impaired.
