Through March 14: Ward Foundation exhibit of Birds of the Chesapeake, paintings by John W. Taylor in Salisbury. Call the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art, (410) 742-4988.

Today, Friday, Saturday, Sunday: Maryland Recreational Vehicle Show at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium. Comprehensive show displaying newest and most RVs and associated products in the Mid-Atlantic region. Show opens at noon each day. Admission is $6 for adults, with children under 12 admitted free.

Today: Delaware State Chaper of Trout Unlimited annual fishing show at the Tatnall School, 1501 Barley Mill Road, Wilmington, Del. Seminars offered on bass fishing, saltwater fishing and trout and salmon in western Alaska. Admission is $5 for adults. Children under 16 admitted free. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Wednesday-Sunday: Washington Boat Show, Washington Convention Center. Show opens at noon on weekdays and at 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $7 for adults and $3 for children under 12.

Sunday: Maryland Sportsman's Show and Fleamarket sponsored by Hub City Bassmasters and Tri-State Anglers, National Guard Armory, Frederick, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Door prizes, new and used fishing tackle and gear, new boats, crafts, door prizes, fishing information and guide services. Donation of $2 per person, children under 8 free.

Sunday: Fishermen's flea market and show sponsored by the Bucketmouth Bassmasters and the Chesapeake Bassmasters at the Owings Mills Volunteer Fire House on Reisterstown Road, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $1.50, with children under 8 admitted free.


Wednesday: Monthly meeting of Maryland Fly Anglers at the Ridge Garden Apartments clubhouse, Old Harford Road and Putty Hill Avenue, 7:30 p.m. Speaker will be Boyd Pfeiffer on fly-rod building. The public is welcome. Call (410) 825-2695.

Saturday: Jones Falls Stream walk sponsored by Maryland Chapter of Trout Unlimited, 9 a.m. Meet at Stevenson Village. Call (410) 964-1989.

March 3: Monthly meeting of Free State Fly Fishers at Hillsmere Elementary School in Annapolis, 7:30 p.m. Joe Bruce of the Fisherman's Edge will speak on rod building. The public is welcome.

March 16: Monthly meeting of Maryland Chapter of Trout Unlimited, IOOF Hall, 511 York Road, Towson, 7:30 p.m. Speaker will be Lefty Kreh on fly fishing in New Guinea. The public is welcome.

March 17: Free State Fly Fishers fly-tying session at Hillsmere Elementary School in Annapolis, 7:30 p.m. The public is welcome.


Saturday: Wildlife habitat workshop sponsored by the Wildlife Division of the Department of Natural Resources and the Southern Maryland Chapter of Quail Unlimited at Izaak Walton League in Hughesville, Charles County, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Discussion of new and old views on upland game habitat and the related decline of many species of upland wildlife. Special guest speaker will be Jef Hodges from Missouri. Hodges is an expert in Native Warm-season Grasses, which have been crucial to the resurgence of quail, pheasant and other grassland birds in the Midwest.
