* Elkridge: 7100 block of Brookdale Drive: A maroon 1988 Acura Legend was stolen between Jan. 19 and Monday from the Baltimore-Washington Auto Exchange. The car had no tags.

6700 block of Old Waterloo Road: Someone smashed windows out of a 1984 Ford Escort and stole several items, including a $199 Pioneer AM-FM cassette player, a $129 equalizer and $400 worth of cassettes and $200 worth of CDs, between 2:50 a.m. and 3 a.m. Sunday.

6600 block of Washington Blvd.: An $85 women's red suede coat was stolen from a 1979 Chevrolet Caprice between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Sunday.

* Ellicott City: 3100 block of Pine Orchard Lane: A blue-silver 1987 Toyota Camry was stolen between 8 p.m. Sunday and 8:50 a.m. Monday. The Maryland license plates are 02002.

3100 block of W. Spring Drive: Someone tried to steal a 1990 Isuzu truck between 10 p.m. Sunday and 11 a.m. Monday.

3100 block of W. Spring Drive: Someone tried to steal a 1991 Mazda Protege between 9 p.m. Sunday and 11:45 a.m. Monday.

10000 block of Route 40: An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from the Hair Cuttery between 5:30 p.m. Sunday and 10 p.m. Monday.

7800 block of Old Litchfield Lane: Someone entered a 1992 Ford truck between 4 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday, and stole a $50 portable air compressor, $30 in change, an owner's manual and a $60 brown overalls.

7700 block of Chatfield Lane: Someone entered a 1992 Saturn between 2 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Sunday and stole U.S. postage stamps.

7700 block of Chatfield Lane: Someone smashed the passenger door window on a 1992 Ford Explorer between 2:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sunday, and stole a $600 Alpine AM-FM CD player.
