Planners OK expansion of Mount Hebron Church

The county Planning Board approved plans yesterday for expanding the Mount Hebron Presbyterian Church.

Church members want to build a two-story, 7,032-square-foot addition to the eastern end of the 10,680-square-foot church building. The lower floor will have classrooms for weekday nursery school to meet state day care floor-space requirements. The upper floor will provide a fellowship hall for church activities.

The board ruling also will allow another addition of nearly 1,000 square feet for office space on the southern face of the church building.
