Planners OK expansion of Mount Hebron Church

The county Planning Board approved plans yesterday for expanding the Mount Hebron Presbyterian Church.

Church members want to build a two-story, 7,032-square-foot addition to the eastern end of the 10,680-square-foot church building. The lower floor will have classrooms for weekday nursery school to meet state day care floor-space requirements. The upper floor will provide a fellowship hall for church activities.

The board ruling also will allow another addition of nearly 1,000 square feet for office space on the southern face of the church building.

* Elkridge: 200 block of Paul Martin Drive: Someone ransacked a house between 8:30 p.m. and 12:45 a.m. Friday, taking electronic equipment, a camera, a pellet gun, a purse and clothing. Police say the incident stems from a domestic dispute.

* Ellicott City: 8200 block of Main St.: A 1988 light blue Pontiac Firebird was stolen between 7:30 p.m. and 10:45 p.m. Saturday. The Pennsylvania license plate is OTTFLYS.
