Man beaten, robbed in lot outside bar

A 46-year-old man was beaten and robbed of $6 outside the Brass Rail Pub in the 8100 block of Hog Neck Road in Pasadena early Friday, police said.

According to the police report, the victim was in the parking lot at 12:49 a.m. when a man walked up to him and demanded money. The suspect began beating him, threw the victim to the ground and kicked him before taking the money.

The robber left the parking lot in a blue Chevrolet pickup truck possibly with another man. Police had no description of the robber.

* Pasadena: Burglars broke into a home in the 400 block of New York Ave. Thursday and took tools. Their value was not known.
