Where can you go for a home-cooked meal and continuous entertainment at an affordable price?

Look no farther than 110 Townsend Ave., where the Brooklyn Heights United Methodist Men will have a roast beef dinner from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday at the church.

Dinner will include a quarter-pound of roast beef, parsleyed potatoes, corn, green beans, unlimited salad bar, rolls, dessert and beverage.

The list of entertainment includes: Katherine Clipp on the piano (oldies but goodies) from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m.; Harmony Junction (barbershop) 4 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.; local talent from 4:30 p.m until 5 p.m.; Bay Windows (bluegrass) from 5 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.; Sons of the Severn (barbershop) from 5:30 p.m. until 6 p.m.; Soul Purpose (gospel) from 6 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.; Young Fogies from 6:30 p.m. until 7 p.m.; and a Sing-A-Long and more local talent from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for children ages 6 to 12, and children under 5 are free.

If you are interested in registering for the adult education classes being offered by Anne Arundel County public schools, walk-in registration for classes at North County High School will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. tomorrow and Wednesday.

The school is on Andover Road.

The Olde Brooklyn Park Improvement Association will meet at 7 p.m. tomorrow at the Brooklyn Park Elementary School, 200 14th Ave.

If you are not a member, you can still join by paying annual dues of $4 a family. Come out and meet business people, elected officials and your neighbors.

A 13-lesson Boating Skills and Seamanship course will be presented by the Coast Guard Auxiliary, Magothy River Flotilla 18. This course provides an overview of the rules and fundamentals of safe boating.

Registration will take place at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, at the Magothy River Middle School Auditorium on Peninsula Farm Road. The first class will begin after registration. Classes are from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays.

Baseball, softball and T-ball registration for the Brooklyn Park Youth Athletic Association continues on Saturdays, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Brooklyn Park Elementary School, 200 14th Ave., and on Sundays, from 12:30 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Brooklyn Park/Lindale Middle Junior High School on Hammonds Lane.

All boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 15 are invited to join. Registration is $25 for one child and $40 for two or more children. Only two weekends remain to register.

* A cultural arts program, "The Barker of Seville," a presentation of the Blue Sky Puppet Theatre, will take place on Wednesday.

Brooklyn Park/Lindale Middle Junior High School news: Congratulations to Scott Taylor, whose original design was selected by the Citizens Advisory Council/PTA executive board to serve as the school's official logo.

This logo will be displayed on a T-shirt that will be sold later this year.

Congratulations also are extended to the other students who entered designs: Bennie Haynes, David Kessler, William Koerber, Jonathan Rigney, Rafael Solano and Steve Stack.

* A Course Information Night for seventh-graders is planned for 7 p.m. tomorrow. Students will receive information on course selections for the 1993-94 school year.

North County High School news: Congratulations to the following band members who have been selected to play in the All-County Senior High School Band: Kathryn McCordic, flute; Wendy Bolly, flute; Todd Kelch, saxophone; Michael Holy, saxophone; Scott Kelch, trumpet; John Resuta, trumpet; N'Dinga Gaba, trombone; Gary Nesselroad, tuba; and Jonathan Menikheim, percussion.

The concert will take place at 3 p.m. Sunday at South River High School. Tickets are $2 a person, and everyone is invited.

* The Band Parents' meeting will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the band room. Discussion will include the cold cut sub sale that begins Wednesday. If you are interested in ordering subs, contact a band member or call the school at 859-5400 and leave a message. Delivery will be March 6.
