THEFT: Central District -- Someone broke into the car of a resident of Delaware while the vehicle was parked in the first block of E. Centre St. Sunday night and stole property valued at $200.

BURGLARY: Central District -- Property valued at $200 was stolen from a house in the 200 block of Laurens St. Sunday night by someone who entered through an unlocked door.

BURGLARY/ARREST: Western District -- Moments after a man entered the Echo House in the 1700 block of W. Fayette St. Saturday through a side window, he noticed a surveillance camera and left the building. People in the building saw the man flee and played back the film. Police were given a description, and a suspect was arrested as he was walking down the street.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 700 block of N. Carey St. was in the 900 block of N. Carey St. Sunday morning when a gunman robbed him of $12.

BREAK-IN: Western District -- Someone entered Cut Rate Liquors in the 1800 block of W. North Ave. over the weekend through the front door and stole cash and cigarettes, all valued at $1,500, and got out moments before police arrived to investigate a burglar alarm sounding.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Several pieces of clothing were stolen from a house in the 1000 block of McKean Ave. over the weekend by someone who entered through the skylight.

ASSAULT/ARREST: Western District -- Police arrested a man Sunday afternoon and were holding him at the station pending charges that he assaulted and beat a resident of the 1300 block of Edmondson Ave. with a baseball bat near the victim's home.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 11200 block of Old Frederick Road in Marriottsville was walking in the 600 block of N. Warwick Ave. Sunday afternoon when a man got out of a car, stole her purse and drove away.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A TV, a clock-radio and cassette tapes, all valued at nearly $370, were stolen Sunday from an apartment in the 1600 block of Spray Court by someone who entered through a rear bedroom window.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Someone entered a house in the 3000 block of Brighton St. through a kitchen door Saturday and stole more than $500 in property and $80 in cash.

BREAK-IN: Southwestern District -- Tools and equipment valued at nearly $1,900 were stolen over the weekend from the Wareheim air brake company in the 3100 block of Washington Blvd.

BREAK-IN: Southwestern District -- Property valued at nearly $200 was stolen from Alpha Phi Alpha Inc. Delta Lambda Chapter Fraternity in the 3200 block of Clifton Ave. over the weekend by someone who entered through a rear window.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Someone entered a house in the 300 block of Stinson St. through a rear window Sunday and stole cash and property, all valued at nearly $2,000.

BREAK-IN: Southwestern District -- Property valued at nearly $1,200 was stolen from the administration building of Loudon Park Cemetery in the 3800 block of Frederick Ave. over the weekend.

STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A resident of the 600 block of Cokesbury Ave. left her 1992 Toyota double-parked with its engine running while she was inside a house in the 800 block of St. Dunstan's Road for a few minutes early Sunday morning. When she left the house, she found her car had been stolen.

THEFT: Northern District -- Someone broke a window on an Oldsmobile parked in the first block of Oak Place Sunday and stole property valued at nearly $450.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A vanity table and other items, all valued at nearly $200, were stolen from a house in the 3800 block of Falls Road Sunday by someone who entered a second-floor apartment after breaking a window.

ASSAULT: Northern District -- A resident of the 2600 block of Boone St. was assaulted in the 500 block of E. 25th St. Saturday by a man who struck him with a piece of wood. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

THEFT: Northern District -- The canvas top of a 1987 Suzuki was stolen over the weekend while the vehicle was in the 600 block of Wyanoke Ave. The top was valued at $300.

Baltimore County

STANDOFF/ARREST: Wilkens District -- Robert C. Whaley, 21, of the 1100 block of Marley Creek Drive, Glen Burnie, was arrested early today and charged with pointing a .22-caliber rifle at Officer Gary Michael following an argument the man had with his mother at her home in the 100 block of Edgewood Ave. Mr. Whaley was arrested after a nearly four-hour standoff with police. He also was charged with reckless endangerment, pointing the rifle at his mother and possession of a deadly weapon.

HARFORD COUNTY

VANDALISM: Bel Air: Someone shot out the rear window of a marked state police car while it was parked in the 700 block of Flintlock Drive between 5 p.m. Saturday and noon Sunday.
