* Mayor Joseph H. Hahn Jr. has released the 1967 report of the police department as submitted by Chief H. LeRoy Day: grand larceny, 11; petty larceny, 68; property damage, 18; assault, 33; drunk and disorderly, 47; juvenile offenses, 22; auto theft, 19; loitering, 13. -- Democratic Advocate, Feb. 1, 1968.

* Randall G. Spoerlein, of New Windsor, was appointed to the staff of the House of Delegates for the current session. Mr. Spoerlein served with distinction as a member of the Carroll County delegation in the Maryland House of Delegates during the 1939 and 1941 sessions. -- Democratic Advocate, Feb. 5, 1943.

* The local Light Co., has not been inactive during this cold weather, but on the contrary has been wiring additional houses on its lines, furnishing current for new motors and just recently sold a motor to Thurston Cronise of near Linwood, who proposes to milk his cows by electric current and a patent milker. -- Union Bridge Pilot, Feb. 8, 1918.

* Mr. Wm. B. Thomas, state Sen. Pinkney J. Bennett and Messrs. George M. Parke, J. P. Hull and Charles E. Goodwin have organized a company for the manufacture of "J. P. Hull's Horse, Cattle and Poultry Powders." Mr. Hull has been manufacturing these powders for a number of years, and tests have proved them of great value to stock and poultry. -- American Sentinel, Feb. 4, 1893.
