Take tea together on Valentine's Day at the 1840 House, 800 E. Lombard St. Food historian Sue Latini will bake teatime delicacies over an open hearth, including maids of honor (rich pastries filled with jam and topped with whipped cream), scones and English muffins at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday.

Admission: $1.75 for adults, 75 cents for children 6 to 18. Children under 6 are admitted free. Information: 396-3279.


Add to your baseball card collection and meet some of the men behind the winning stats. Scott McGregor, Tippy Martinez and John Stefero are the guests from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow at the Babe Ruth Museum's fourth annual Baseball Card Show. The former Orioles and members of the 1983 World Series RTC championship team will be joined by more than 50 vendors selling baseball cards, books, posters and more. The $3 admission gets you a free autograph from each player, a two-for-one admission coupon to the Babe Ruth Museum and a museum collectible card. Where: Camden Yards Warehouse, next to Oriole Park at Camden Yards, on the ground floor at Pastimes Cafe and Bambino's Pub.

Alter your appearance at the Maryland Science Center's "About Faces" exhibit, where you can borrow the features of the famous. The exhibit runs through April 30. Admission: $8.50 for adults, $5.50 for children, seniors and military. Hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.


The USS Boulder, a 500-foot LST (a tank-carrying landing ship) glides into Baltimore and will be open for tours. Details next week.
