Bentley opens office in Lake Shore

Congresswoman Helen Delich Bentley is opening a district office in the rear of the Colonial Square Center on Mountain Road in Lake Shore.

The office at 4513R Mountain Road is to open Tuesday It will be open Tuesdays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Mrs. Bentley has assigned a staff aide to the office to help constituents with problems with the Internal Revenue Service, Social Security, military and veterans affairs, housing, unemployment and education, among others.

Constituents can make appointments by calling Charles Cresswell at the Towson district office, 377-7222.

Gunman robs Ed's Shell

A gunman robbed Ed's Shell gas station in the 100 block of Mountain Road late Tuesday, county police reported.

Investigators said the gunman walked into the station at 10:54 p.m., threw some candy on the counter and took out a gun, holding it to the clerk's face and demanding cash. The clerk gave the robber the money and he stuffed it in his pocket and left.

Police described the gunman as a white man, 5 feet 7 inches tall with a thin build, in his late teens or early 20s and with acne on his face. His blond hair was shaved on the sides and he was wearing a dark green waist-length jacket and a green baseball hat.


* Pasadena: Burglars broke into Northeast High School in the 1100 block of Duvall Highway Friday or Sunday. Police do not know what was taken.

* Green Haven: Burglars broke into a home in the 600 block of Cyril Avenue Tuesday. Police do not know what was taken.

* Green Haven: Burglars broke into a home in the 600 block of 210th Street Tuesday and took jewelry, a camera and a handgun valued at $545.

* Elizabeth's Landing: A resident of the 900 block of Mount Desert Harbor reported that someone stole his $2,800 Rolex watch during a party at his home Saturday.

* Lake Shore Park: A resident of the 1400 block of Park Lane reported

that someone broke into her home Monday. Police do not know what was taken.
