Orioles -- Agreed to terms with P Todd Frohwirth on a one-year contract worth $900.000. Frohwirth, who was paid $265,000 last season, had asked for $1.15 million for 1993 and was offered $800,000.

Detroit Tigers -- Agreed to terms with IF Skeeter Barnes on a one-year contract.

Florida Marlins -- Agreed to terms with P Hector Carrasco and OF Kerwin Moore and OF Scott Pose on one-year contracts.

Montreal Expos -- Agreed to terms with IF Frank Bolich, P Mike Mathile and OF Mike Stairs on one-year contracts.

San Francisco Giants -- Named Bert Campaneris organizational base-running coach.

Toronto Blue Jays -- Agreed to terms with 1B John Olerud, C Carlos Delgado, P David Wells and P Bill Taylor on one-year contracts. Wells agreed to $2.05 million, a cut of $13,000, but has the chance to make $100,000 more in performance bonuses. Olerud agreed at $1,487,500, more than triple the $387,500 he made last season.

Basketball

NBA -- Fined Houston Rockets guard Vernon Maxwell $3,000 for throwing a flagrant elbow in a game Feb. 5.

Golden State Warriors -- Signed unrestricted free agent F Sean Higgins to a 10-day contract.

Seattle SuperSonics -- Activated G Dana Barros from the injured list. Placed F Steve Scheffler on the injured list.

College

NCAA -- Named John D. Swofford and Frank Windegger to the marketing subcommittee of the executive committee.

Arkansas -- Announced the addition of women's volleyball as a varsity sport.

Cal State-Fullerton -- Announced that F Kim Kemp, G Aaron Sunderland, G Sharif Metoyer and C Sean Williams have been suspended indefinitely from the basketball team for violating team rules.

Manhattan -- Announced the resignation of Fred Dwyer, men's track and field coach, effective at the end of the academic year.

North Carolina Central -- Announced the resignation of Bishop Harris, football coach, to become running backs coach with the Denver Broncos.

Ohio State -- Announced the resignation of Larry Coyer, defensive backfield coach, so he can take the defensive coordinator position at East Carolina.

Oral Roberts -- Announced the resignation of Ken Trickey Sr., men's basketball coach and athletic director, effective at the end of the academic year.

Plymouth State -- Announced the resignation of Lou Desloges, football coach, effective June 30.

San Diego State -- Named Del Wright defensive coordinator. Demoted Barry Lamb from defensive coordinator to linebackers coach.

Tennessee State -- Named Bill Davis, former coach at Savannah State and South Carolina State, head football coach.

Texas Tech -- Announced the resignation of Carlos Mainord, assistant head football coach and defensive coordinator, to accept a coaching position with the Chicago Bears.

Western Carolina -- Announced the resignation of Greg Blatt, men's basketball coach, effective at the end of the season.

Football

Chicago Bears -- Named Carlos Mainford defensive assistant coach.

Denver Broncos -- Named Les Steckel tight ends and H-backs coach.

Pittsburgh Steelers -- Fired Dan McGrogan as controller.

Olympics

U.S. Olympic Festival -- Named Paul Sanderford women's north team coach, Van Chancellor and Susan Summons women's north assistant coaches and Amy Ruley women's south team coach.
