Mount St. Mary's tops Marist, 72-67

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Kevin Booth's sixth three-pointer of the game put Mount St. Mary's ahead to stay with 3:30 left, as the Mountaineers (9-10, 8-4) downed Marist (9-12, 5-6), 72-67, last night in a Northeast Conference game.

Mount St. Mary's, which led by as many as 11 points in the first half, had its lead reduced to 45-44 with 15:17 left when Marist's Andy Lake hit a three-pointer.

Booth responded with a three-pointer and had two more in an 11-2 Mount run to push the lead back to 56-46 with 12:29 remaining.

Booth finished with a game-high 24 points, and Chris McGuthrie added 14 for the Mount. Lake led Marist with 22 points.
