ARRESTS: Central District -- Police arrested three teen-age girls yesterday and charged them with assaulting a resident of the 400 block of W. Franklin St. with a butcher knife near his home. Two of the girls were released to their parents. The third was held on two unrelated warrants.

OFFICER ASSAULTED: Southern District -- Officer John Walker was in the first block of Puget St. shortly after 1 a.m. Monday

when a man in a car attempted to run him down. The officer was not injured. The man was arrested and is being held at the station pending charges of common assault and assault with a motor vehicle.

RAPE: Southern District -- Police were seeking a man known as "Ricky" in connection with the rape early Monday morning of a woman near the 300 block of E. Patapsco Ave. The victim, a resident of Christian Street, was driven to the scene late Sunday night and raped while the man threatened her with a knife.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 1700 block of Vincent Court was in the 1700 block of W. North Ave. Monday when two men, one with a semiautomatic handgun, robbed him of $15.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 1200 block of Cedarcroft Road was in the 3900 block of Ednor Road Sunday afternoon and arguing with a male acquaintance when the man robbed her of two gold chains. He was later arrested.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A gunman robbed Boh's TV Repair in the 3500 block of Harford Road Monday afternoon of $40 after giving an employee a note that read "Don't try anything funny."

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Someone entered a car on the lot at Johnny's used cars in the 4800 block of Harford Road between Sunday night and Monday morning and stole a radio valued at $700.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A gunman entered the 7 Eleven store in the 200 block of W. 28th St. early Monday morning and forced an employee who was mopping the floor to give him undisclosed money from the cash register.

AUTO THEFT: Western District -- A Jeep Cherokee with Virginia tags VOJ525 and equipped with an anti-theft device was stolen from the 2800 block of Clifton Ave. between Sunday night and Monday morning.

THEFT: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 1500 block of W. Fayette St. last week and stole a welfare check for $154 and another check for $100.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 3000 block of Seabury Road in Cherry Hill was in the 1400 block of Edmondson Ave. over the weekend when he was robbed of $50 by a gunman.

THEFT/ARREST: Western District -- Police arrested a man who attempted to shoplift nearly $20 worth of articles from the Rite Aid pharmacy in the Mondawmin Mall Monday morning.

THEFT: Western District -- Two air compressors valued at nearly $2,000 were stolen from a house in the 1100 block of N. Gilmor St. last week.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 4000 block of Elderon Ave. was shopping at the Mondawmin Mall Monday afternoon when two men robbed her of a gold ring and nearly $400.

THEFT: Western District -- Police were seeking a man who entered the Lockerman-Bundy Elementary School in the 300 block of N. Pulaski St. Monday and stole an IBM computer valued at $600 from a room.

ASSAULT: Central District -- A resident of the 700 block of W. Lexington St. was treated at the University of Maryland Medical Center Sunday evening for a broken finger and other injuries after a male acquaintance struck her with his fist during an argument that broke out when he refused to help carry packages into her home.

THEFT: Central District -- Two men stole at least five pairs of jeans valued at more than $100 from the Large Store in the Pratt Street pavilion at Harborplace. While one man distracted a store employee, the other man grabbed the clothing and walked out. The theft occurred in late January and wasn't reported to police until the weekend.

ARSON: Northwestern District -- Police were seeking three teen-age boys in connection with the burning of a garage in the 4200 block of Liberty Heights Ave. Sunday afternoon. The boys were seen playing near the garage shortly before the fire was reported. Damage was set at $5,000.

CUTTING: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 3500 block of W. Belvedere Ave. was cut on both legs Sunday afternoon at his home by a man he knows. The victim was treated at Sinai Hospital.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Someone entered a house in the 5100 block of Pembridge Ave. Sunday and stole three gold rings valued at more than $2,600.

AUTO THEFT: Northwestern District -- A 1983 Mercury with Maryland tags XMF574 and owned by a resident of the 3800 block of Beehler Ave. was stolen Sunday from the 3100 block of Virginia Ave.
