Through March 14: Ward Foundation exhibit of Birds of the Chesapeake, paintings by John W. Taylor in Salisbury. Call the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art, (410) 742-4988.

Today: Fisherman's flea market sponsored by the Adams County Bassmasters at the Greenmount Firehall, 15 miles south of Gettysburg, Pa., on business Route 15, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $1; children under 10 admitted free.


Tuesday: Monthly meeting of the Northwest Chapter of the Maryland Saltwater Sportfishermen's Association at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Catonsville, 7:30 p.m. Scheduled speaker is Peter Imirie on youth fishing and boat building. The public is welcome.

Tuesday: Monthly meeting of the Talbot County chapter of the Maryland Saltwater Sportfishermen's Association, 7:30 p.m. at the Shore Sportsman. The public is welcome.


Feb. 27: Wildlife habitat workshop sponsored by the Wildlife Division of the Department of Natural Resources and the Southern Maryland Chapter of Quail Unlimited at Izaak Walton League in Hughesville, Charles County, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Discussion of new and old views on upland game habitat and the related decline of many species of upland wildlife. Special guest speaker will be Jef Hodges from Missouri. Hodges is an expert in native warm-season grasses, which have been crucial to the resurgence of quail, pheasant and other grassland birds in the Midwest.
