Four organizations have joined forces to introduce novice lively-arts lovers to the variety of entertainment the city has to offer.

The Baltimore Choral Arts Society, Center Stage, the Baltimore Opera Company and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra have come up with the "Couchbuster" pass, which includes a ticket to one performance by each of the four sponsoring organizations.

According to Betsy Kunzelman, executive director of the BCAS, the sampler pass is a way for new audiences to become acquainted with Baltimore's artistic community.

The package includes tickets to the following:

* The Feb. 20 performance of the Baltimore Choral Arts Society. The concert at Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall at 8 p.m. will feature the full chorus and orchestra presenting popular works by Mozart.

* Center Stage's production of "Escape From Happiness" on March 10 at 8 p.m. The comedy by Canadian playwright George F. Walker traces an offbeat family as it tries to work out its differences.

* The Baltimore Opera Company's March 31 performance of "The Elixir of Love." The 8:15 p.m. show at the Lyric Opera House will feature tenor Carlo Bergonzi in the comic love story by composer Gaetano Donizetti.

* The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra's April 10 concert, featuring pianist Emmanuel Ax and the works of Mozart and Mahler, at Meyerhoff Hall. After the BSO concert, which begins at 8:15 p.m., the audience is invited to dance to the music of Mama Jama in the hall's lobby.

The Couchbuster pass costs $84 and includes coupons for Spike and Charlie's restaurant at Preston and Cathedral streets, near the Meyerhoff, and for Louie's Bookstore Cafe at 518 N. Charles St. Tickets can be purchased at the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra ticket office or by calling (410) 783-8000 or (800) 442-1198.
