February 05, 1993

Janice Teeter, who was director of human resources for the Carroll County government in 1983-1988, has been named state director for U.S. Sen. Barbara A. Mikulski.

The senator's office said that Ms. Teeter's responsibilities will include constituent services; managing the offices in Baltimore, Annapolis, College Park, Salisbury and Hagerstown; and serving liaison to Maryland businesses and industry, as well as state and local government.

"Janice Teeter brings enormous talent and experience to this important job," Senator Mikulski said. "Meeting the needs of the people of Maryland is my top priority, and I look forward to working with her to get the job done.

"As a native Marylander, she knows the issues and challenges facing our state and its residents."

Ms. Teeter, who lives in Carroll, previously worked at Adia Information Technologies in Towson as director of human resources. She was also director of the Carroll County Area Agency on Aging from 1984 to 1988. She holds a bachelor of arts degree from Loyola College and a master's from Western Maryland College.

She replaces Maggie McIntosh as Senator Mikulski's state director.
