BALTIMORE CITY

* THEFT: Western District -- Police were seeking a man who entered a house in the 1300 block of Riggs Ave. Tuesday and stole a coat that had more than $100 in a pocket.

* THEFT: Northeastern District -- Someone entered a Dodge truck Wednesday while it was parked in the 2800 block of Chesterfield Ave. and stole an AM-FM radio and an electric saw, both valued at $700.

* THEFT: Northeastern District -- A stereo equalizer and a pair of sunglasses, all valued at $670, were stolen from a 1988 Ford while it was parked in the 3400 block of Parklawn Ave. Tuesday by someone who broke a window.

* BANK ROBBERY: Southern District -- A gunman robbed the Provident Bank of Maryland in the 1100 block of S. Charles St. of an undisclosed sum Wednesday afternoon after ordering several employees and customers to the floor.

* BURGLARY: Southern District -- Someone entered a house in the first block of S. Stricker St. Tuesday and stole stereo equipment and tools.

* ROBBERY: Western District -- A Virginia resident was leaving a store in the 500 block of N. Monroe St. Wednesday when he was robbed of cash, personal property and his car by two men, one with a handgun. The two robbers abandoned the car near the crime scene and escaped when spotted by police.

* ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 1800 block of N. Fulton Ave. was pushed down the steps of his house and robbed of his wallet Monday by a man he knows.

* ROBBERY: Western District -- Two women were being sought for assaulting and robbing a resident of the 3800 block of Barrington Road of $15 in the 1600 block of W. North Ave. Monday.

* ROBBERY: Central District -- A man who implied he was armed with a handgun robbed the McDonald's fast-food outlet in the first block of W. North Ave. Tuesday night of an undisclosed sum.

* THEFT: Central District -- Cassette tapes and a pair of eyeglasses, all valued at more than $100, were stolen from a car in the 200 block of W. Lombard St. Tuesday night.

* THEFT: Central District -- Someone broke into the car of an Amtrak policeman in the first block of W. Lanvale St. Tuesday night and stole a jacket and a badge.

* AUTO THEFT: Central District -- A 1980 Mazda with Florida license plates was stolen from the first block of E. Lanvale St. Tuesday night.

* PURSE SNATCHING: Central District -- A resident of the 2600 block of Keswick Road was robbed of her purse containing cash and property, all valued at $30, while she walked in the 1500 block of Guilford Ave. late Tuesday night.

* BREAK-IN: Northern District -- Leather clothing valued at more than $2,000 was stolen from National Variety in the 3000 block of Greenmount Ave. Tuesday morning by someone who entered through the front door.

* ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 3300 block of Rogers Ave. was in the 2100 block of Edgewood St. Monday evening when a gunman robbed him of cash and property, all valued at more than $600.

* THEFT: Southwestern District -- Property valued at more than $1,000 was stolen from a house in the 3600 block of Windsor Mill Road between Jan. 27 and Monday.

* THEFT/ARRESTS: Southwestern District -- Police arrested two men Monday afternoon who reportedly stole property valued at more than $300 from a house in the 2300 block of Frederick Ave.

* THEFT: Southwestern District -- Someone entered a house in the 1800 block of Poplar Grove St. Monday and stole a check made out to the occupant for more than $400.

* THEFT: Southwestern District -- Police were seeking a woman who entered a house in the 3100 block of Brighton St. over the weekend and stole $200.

* BURGLARY/ARREST: Northern District -- Police responding to

a burglary in progress in the 2700 block of N. Howard St. entered a building and arrested a man who entered through a basement door.

* ROBBERY: Northern District -- A gunman robbed a resident of (( the 4500 block of Reisterstown Road of more than $100 in the 4600 block of Pall Mall Road.

* ROBBERY: Northern District -- Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a resident of the 800 block of Beaumont Ave. of a gold bracelet and gold earrings, all valued at more than $400, near the victim's home Monday morning.

* THEFT/ARREST: Northern District -- After police arrested a teen-age boy and charged him with stealing property from the Farm Fresh store in the 5600 block of The Alameda Monday, they released him into his parents' custody.

* THEFT: Northern District -- A stereo speaker valued at $400 was stolen from a 1979 Toyota Monday night while it was parked in the 900 block of Woodson Road.

* THEFT: Northern District -- Someone entered a room at Sinai Hospital in the 2400 block of W. Belvedere Ave. Monday and stole a purse containing cash and property, all valued at nearly $140.

* BURGLARY: Northern District -- Medication valued at nearly $100 was stolen from a laboratory at Union Memorial Hospital in the 200 block of E. University Parkway over the weekend by someone using a key.
