POLICE LOG

* Kings Contrivance: Route 32 at Broken Land Parkway: Someone stole a $250 tire from a 1993 Honda Civic between 7:15 a.m. and 5:20 p.m. Monday at a Park and Ride.

7500 block of Weather Worn Way: Someone tried to steal a 1986 Isuzu Trooper between 11 p.m. Jan. 27 and 8 a.m. Jan. 28.

* Long Reach: 8600 block of Cobblefield Drive: Someone broke a sliding glass window on a 1986 Mazda truck between 11:30 p.m. Saturday and 7:30 a.m. Sunday.

6000 block of Dobbin Center Way: Someone smashed a window of a 1984 Oldsmobile Delta 88 between 12:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. Monday.

* Oakland Mills: 5600 block of Stevens Forest Road: Someone broke a window of a truck and stole a stereo between 9:30 p.m. Sunday and 4:45 a.m. Monday.

9500 block of Basket Ring Road: Someone stole a purse from a drawer in the teachers' office at Talbott Springs Elementary School between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday.

* Owen Brown: 7000 block of Deepage Drive: Someone removed a lock from a locker at the Supreme Court gym between 7:45 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. Tuesday and stole $85.

7100 block of Carved Stone: Someone stole a $56 bowling bag from Brunswick Lanes between 5 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Sunday along with a $140 16-pound black Phantom bowling ball with "John" written on it, a $130 16-pound Hammer black bowling ball and a $99 pair of bowling shoes with green and orange laces.

9900 block of Dellwood Ave.: Someone pulled a flagpole out of the ground and threw it across the street between 11 p.m. Jan. 24 and 7 a.m. Jan. 25.

9200 block of Homespun Lane: Someone broke into Children's World Learning Center between 5 p.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday, and stole sodas from a soda machine, computers, office equipment, a TV, telephone and a school bus. The school bus later was discovered in the garage of Laser Script on Dobbin Road. Laser Script was ransacked, and computer equipment and at least one camera were stolen.

8900 block of Stanford Blvd.: A black 1990 Acura Legend was stolen between 7:30 p.m. Friday and 8:15 a.m. Saturday from the Marriott Courtyard. The North Carolina license plates are ENT-5530.

6100 block of Camelback Lane: A peeping Tom who was looking inside a window fled after a resident saw him and began shouting at about 11:15 p.m. Sunday.
