Atlanta Braves -- Agreed to terms with SS Jeff Blauser ($2 million), P Kent Mercker ($712,500) and C Damon Berryhill ($975,000) on one-year contracts.

Kansas City Royals -- Agreed to terms with C Mike Macfarlane on a one-year contract worth $1,175,000, a raise of $435,000.

Los Angeles Dodgers -- Agreed to terms with 2B Jody Reed on a $2.5 million, one-year contract, a raise of $900,000.

New York Yankees -- Agreed to terms with P Neal Heaton on a minor-league contract.

Oakland Athletics -- Agreed to terms with OF Eric Fox on a minor-league contract.

Philadelphia Phillies -- Agreed to terms with 1B Ricky Jordan on a one-year contract worth $1 million, a raise of $340,000.

Seattle Mariners -- Agreed to terms with OF Henry Cotto, on a one-year contract worth $900,000, a raise of $25,000.

NBA -- Fined Larry Johnson, Charlotte Hornets forward, $3,500, for taking a swing at an opponent in a game on Jan. 30 and Isiah Thomas, Detroit Pistons guard, $2,000, for failing to leave the court in a timely manner and using abusive language after being ejected from a game on Jan. 30.

Cleveland Cavaliers -- Activated F John Williams from the injured list.

Sacramento Kings -- Placed C Duane Causwell on the injured list. Signed F Henry James to a 10-day contract.

NCAA -- Named Cal State-Hayward AD Doug Weis to the Division II baseball committee; Memphis State AD Charles Cavagnero council representative to the communications committee; San Jose State associate AD Richard Chew to the men's gymnastics committee; and Clarion women's basketball coach Margaret Parsons Division II representative to the women's basketball rules committee.

Providence -- Announced that G Matt Alosa has left the basketball team.

San Jose -- Named Wally Gaskins interim football coach.

VMI -- Announced G Bobby Jones has been dismissed from the basketball team and the school for violation of school regulations.

Detroit Lions -- Named Hank Bullough defensive coordinator.

Kansas City Chiefs -- Named Alex Gibbs offensive line coach.

New York Giants -- Named Earl Leggett defensive line coach; Zaven Yaralian defensive backs coach and Al Miller strength coach.

Philadelphia Eagles -- Signed Bud Carson, defensive coordinator, to a two-year contract.

Hockey

New York Rangers -- Recalled D Peter Andersson from AHL Binghamton. Sent D Per Djoos to Binghamton.

Philadelphia Flyers -- Acquired D Bob Wilkie from the Detroit Red Wings for future considerations. Wilkie will be assigned to AHL Hershey.

Toronto Maple Leafs -- Traded G Grant Fuhr to the Buffalo Sabres for LW Dave Andreychuk, G Daren Puppa and a first-round draft pick in 1993.
