Grant deadline pushed back

February 03, 1993|By Staff Report

The state has pushed back by two weeks the deadline for students applying for state financial aid, to cope with a shortage of application forms.

The new deadline is March 15 and applies to all state scholarships, including general state scholarships and legislative scholarships.

State Higher Education Secretary Shaila R. Aery said the company that prints the forms failed to supply enough applications to high schools and colleges. The forms had to be redesigned this year because of changes in federal regulations governing financial aid.
