Hospital receives United Way award

February 02, 1993

Howard County General Hospital is the recipient of a first-place award in the special events category of the United Way of Central Maryland's 22nd annual Communications Contest.

The award recognizes the hospital's recent two-week employee giving campaign, which raised more than $27,000 for the United Way.

The contest recognizes businesses and individuals who provide creative and effective ways for employees to better understand the role of the United Way in Central Maryland.

This is the third straight year the hospital has received first-place awards for its work on behalf of United Way.
