NEW YORK — PRINCETON, N.J. -- Municipal bond issuers announced yesterday the early redemption of 10 issues totaling more than $177.8 million.

1! The issues being called are: * Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University, Series 1970, special obligation bonds maturing March 1, 1994, through March 1, 2000. All outstanding bonds called on March 1, 1993, at prices ranging from 100.5 to 103.5.

* Berkeley, Calif., Series 1983 A, hospital revenue bonds (Alta Bates Hospital) maturing March 1, 1994, through March 1, 1998, and March 1, 2013. $35.68 million called at 103 on March 1, 1993.

* Sonoma County, California, Series 1982 A, subordinated water revenue bonds maturing Feb. 1, 1994, through Feb. 1, 2002. $5.425 million called at prices ranging from 100.25 to 102.25, on March 1, 1993.

* Sarasota County, Florida School Board, Series 1983, race track revenue bonds maturing March 1, 1994, through March 1, 1998, March 1, 2003, and March 1, 2013. $3.795 million called at 102 on March 1, 1993.

* Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, Series 1983 A, general transportation system bonds maturing March 1, 1994, through March 1, 1998, and March 1, 2005; and Series 1983 A Refunding, maturing March 1, 1994, through March 1, 1998, and March 1, 2004. $118.635 million called at 103 on March 1, 1993.

* McDonald County, Missouri Industrial Development Authority, Series 1982 A, health care fund project bonds maturing March 1, 2002. $1.125 million called at 102 on March 1, 1993.

* Nassau County, New York, Series 1983 S, serial combined sewer districts bonds March 1, 1994, through March 1, 2012. $8.445 million called at prices ranging from 100.5 to 103, on March 1, 1993.

JTC * Oyster Bay, New York, Series 1980, public improvement bonds, maturing March 1, 1994, through March 1, 2003. $4.7 million called at prices ranging from 100.25 to 102, on March 1, 1993.

* Henderson County, North Carolina, Series 1983, hospital bonds, maturing March 1, 1994, through March 1, 2000. All outstanding bonds called at prices ranging from 100.5 to 102, on March 1, 1993.
