Black History Fair planned at Columbia Mall Saturday

The Howard County Coalition for Black History and the Mall in Columbia will present the 12th Annual Black History Fair from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday at the mall.

The event will feature displays by black groups. Musical entertainment will begin at noon with the Morgan State University Choir; the Morgan State University Jazz Ensemble; the Duke Ellington School for the Arts dance group, Subtle Movements; tale spinner Fellisco Keeling; and the duo Heart To Heart singing Broadway show tunes.

There will also be presentations by the Great Blacks in Wax Museum of Baltimore and the Maryland Museum of African Art. Information: 730-3300.

POLICE

* Hickory Ridge:: 12200 block of Green Meadow Drive: The left rear window on a 1992 Chevrolet Cavalier was broken between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday.

* Harper's Choice:: 5300 block of Harpers Farm Road: A sliding window was forced open between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Wednesday, and a stereo, telephones, a VCR and clothes were stolen.
