* Elkridge:: 6300 block of S. Hanover Road: Someone attempted to break-in Columbia Roofing between 10 p.m. Monday and 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. Entry wasn't gained.

6700 block of Old Waterloo Road: Someone scratched the hood and sides of a 992 Chevrolet Caravan between Jan. 19 and Saturday.

6400 block of Washington Blvd.: Someone attempted to steal a 1987 Jeep Cherokee by damaging the steering wheel column last Friday or Saturday.

6100 Lawyers Hill Road: A rear door was pried open while the victim was at home between 4 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. Monday. There was no entry.

* 7100 Brookdale Drive: A blue 1989 Mitsubishi van was stolen between 10 a.m. Wednesday and 2 a.m. Friday.

* 6600 Santa Barbara Road: Windshields worth $1,400 were stolen from two 1993 Isuzu vans between 6 p.m. Monday and 6:15 a.m. Tuesday.

* Ellicott City::8620 Baltimore National Pike: A 1993 blue-green Honda Accord was stolen between 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m Tuesday from O'Donnell Honda. The car didn't have tags. An employee saw a man drive away in the car as she arrived for work.
