SHOOTING: Northwestern District -- A 26-year-old man is listed in serious condition at Sinai Hospital after being shot around 11 p.m. Wednesday inside an apartment building in the 4800 block of Palmer Ave. Police found the man lying on a second-floor landing bleeding from bullet wounds to the head, an arm, and both legs.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- A gunman entered a doctor's office in the 3700 block of Potee St. Wednesday morning and demanded money from a receptionist while pointing the weapon at her. When told there was no money in the office, the gunman stole a telephone and fled.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- Someone entered a house in the 1000 block of Boyd St. Wednesday morning through a window and stole two portable transmitters, an electric saw and several hand tools, all valued at $500.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- Stereo equipment, a TV, chinaware and other property, all valued at $500, were stolen from a house in the 600 block of Portland St. Wednesday by someone who entered after breaking a side window.

BURGLARY: Eastern District -- Someone entered a house in the 500 block of E. 23rd St. Monday through a side window and stole a VCR and a microwave, all valued at nearly $700.

ABDUCTION/RAPE: Eastern District -- Police were seeking two men who abducted a woman in the 1100 block of N. Luzerne St. Sunday and raped her at gunpoint in a nearby wooded area. After the woman was freed, she was taken to Mercy Medical Center for treatment and released.

ROBBERY: Eastern District -- A 63-year-old woman was robbed of her carrying bag containing $100 by a man who attacked her in the 1900 block of Harford Ave. Tuesday night.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Property valued at nearly $1,000 was stolen from a house in the 3200 block of Brendan Ave. Monday by someone who entered through a basement window.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Police were seeking a man who is suspected of stealing property valued at nearly $800 from a house in the 3200 block of Elmley Ave. Tuesday after getting into an argument with the landlord.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- A man entered a room at Good Samaritan Hospital in the 1600 block of E. Belvedere Ave. Wednesday morning and stole $80. Hospital officials were to seek a criminal summons requesting the man appear in District Court to answer theft charges.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- A former tenant of a house in the 3100 block of Kentucky Ave. is suspected of stealing computer equipment and a recorder, all valued at nearly $500, when he moved out Tuesday.

BURGLARY: Southeastern District -- Cash, food and several cartons of cigarettes, all valued at nearly $400, were stolen between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning by someone who entered Apicella's of Little Italy in the 200 block of S. High St. with a key.

ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- A man entered Green's carryout in the 1600 block of Gough St. Tuesday night, walked behind the counter, picked up the cash register containing more than $100 and ran out the front door.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY:Towson District -- An Ellicott City man was robbed of his $4,000 Rolex watch and $33 Wednesday afternoon while seated in his car on the parking lot outside the Sheraton Baltimore North Hotel in the 900 block of Dulaney Valley Road by a gunman. The gunman escaped in a dark green Mazda RX6 driven by a second man.

ROBBERY: Towson District -- A man armed with what appeared to be a semi-automatic handgun robbed the Steak & Egg restaurant in the 6900 block of York Road of an undisclosed sum of money Wednesday night.

SHOT FIRED: Towson District -- Someone driving by Bob's Big Boy restaurant in the 6800 block of Loch Raven Boulevard around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday fired a shot at the building and shattered a window. No one inside the restaurant was injured.

BURGLARY: Parkville District -- Jewelry, computer equipment and silverware, all valued at $5,000, were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 13000 block of Devon Brook Road in Baldwin by someone who entered through a basement door.
