1,000 for Severn's Mack

January 26, 1993

Severn's Jamand "Jake" Mack, a 6-foot senior guard, scored his 1,000th point in the third quarter of a 59-46 win over St. Mary's yesterday, becoming only the second player in school history to reach that mark.

He follows teammate Brad Fowler, who scored his 1,000th point two weeks ago in a 96-37 win over Mount Carmel. Both have been starters for the Admirals since they were freshmen.

"I have a special relationship with both those guys," said Severn coach James Doyle. "It was really nice that he [Mack] could do it with the home crowd against a rival like St. Mary's."

Mack finished with a game-high 25 points.
