The members of Cub Scout Pack 269 received a truckload of awards at their annual Pinewood Derby at the Four Seasons Elementary School on Jan. 16.

First-, second- and third-place trophies for overall pack winners were awarded to Brandon Lanouette, Michael Mallabni and Matt Schauerman.

First-, second- and third-place awards in each den were also presented to the following Scouts:

* Den 1 -- (Wolf) Michael Strang, Lance Bell and Kevin Zoblisein.

* Den 2 -- (Bear) Brandon Lanouette, Matt Hagensick and Billy Bergbauer.

* Den 3 -- (Webelos II) Jason Mayo, Jacob McNamee and Daniel Sonntag.

* Den 4 -- (Bear) Michael Massabni, Matt Schauerman and Justin Mastrangelo.

* Den 5 -- (Webelos I) Brad Hurst, Marty Shatzer and Matt Coulter.

* Den 6 -- (Webelos I) John Hamrick Jr., Joey Napier and Sean Linton.

* Den 8 -- (Wolf) Geoffrey Schiemann, Joey Frykman and Lovett Roberson.

* Den 9 -- (Tiger Cubs) Eric Lively, Jeff Anderson and Brian Clark.

* Den 10 -- (Tiger Cubs) Matthew Michaels, Ryan Osborn and Adam Cage.

Cub Scout Pack 269 is sponsored by the Four Seasons Womens Club.

A flea market will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1283 Odenton Road, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., April 17. There are 50 tables available for rent at $12 per table. Light refreshments will be available.

The West Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce and Hayward Baker Inc., will sponsor a business workshop, "Running a Business: Are you in Compliance With the Law?"

This workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 10, at the Fort Meade Officers' Club, 6600 Mapes Road.

The program will consist of speakers George Snyder, training specialist, Maryland Department of Licensing and Regulation; John Lancaster, of the President's Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities; Gene Thomas, corporate income tax supervisor of the Maryland Income Tax Division; Carol Suarez, revenue administrator, Sales and Use Tax Division, Maryland Office of the Comptroller; and Jennifer Burdick, executive director, Maryland Commission on Human Relations.

The cost is $30 for chamber members and $60 for nonmembers. Reservations must be made by Feb. 5. For more information, call the chamber at 672-3422.

Jim's Hide-Away Softball Team will have a bull and oyster roast from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 21, at Jim's Hide-Away in Odenton. Food will be served from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and dancing will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. with music by the King of Karoke.
