Vandals shoot car windows

Howard County police are trying to determine who shot out the windows of about 20 cars during the weekend in three different parts of the county.

There was no pattern to the vandalism, which occurred between late Friday night and early Sunday morning, mostly in Ellicott City, police said. Vandals may have used a BB gun to shatter the windows, police said.

The vandals damaged cars in the 13800 block of Frederick Road; 8600 block of Frederick Road; 8700 block of Frederick Road; 11700 block of Triadelphia Road; 11900 block of Triadelphia Road; 3900 block of Shady Lane and the 3000 block of Evergreen Way.

Cars also were damaged on Ten Mills Road; the 10800 block of Beechwood Drive; High Hay Drive and the 5000 block of Ten Mills Road in Columbia, police said.

In Elkridge, cars in the 400 block of Joetta Drive were damaged, police said.
