BALTIMORE CITY

* AUTO THEFT: Western District -- Someone stole a 1987 Toyota van with state license number 171826 from the 2600 block of W. Lafayette Ave. Saturday night.

* ROBBERY: Northern District -- A gunman robbed an employee of Landmark Parking at Sinai Hospital in the 2500 block of W. Belvedere Ave. of an undisclosed sum of money Saturday night.

* ROBBERY: Northern District -- Two men, one armed with a sawed-off shotgun, robbed the Roy Rogers Restaurant in the 500 block of W. 29th St. of less than $100 late Saturday night.

* ROBBERY: Northern District -- A gunman Sunday morning robbed a couple of more than $100 near their home in the 3900 block of Canterbury Road.

* BURGLARY TRY/ARREST: Northern District -- Police Sunday morning arrested a man who they said attempted to gain entrance to Triple Wholesale Inc. in the 2700 block of Loch Raven Blvd. by removing a roof-top air conditioner.

* BURGLARY: Northern District -- A VCR and stereo equipment, all valued at $500, were stolen from a home in the 2200 block of St. Paul St. over the weekend by someone who entered through a door.

* THEFT: Northern District -- Someone stole tools valued at $100 from a 1987 Chevrolet while it was parked Sunday in the first block of W. 24th St.

* ROBBERY: Northern District -- Two men, one armed with a handgun, robbed a resident of the 3200 block of Sharon Road of her purse containing more than $100 Sunday night in the 5600 block of York Road.

* BURGLARY: Northern District -- Money and food, all valued at nearly $100, were stolen Sunday from a house in the 4100 block of St. George's Ave. by someone who entered with a key.

* THEFT: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 700 block of N. Appleton St. Sunday afternoon and stole a beeper.

* BURGLARY: Western District -- Cat food valued at nearly $22 was stolen from a storehouse of a business in the 1000 block of W. Baltimore St. Sunday night by someone who entered through a rear door.

* AUTO THEFT: Southwestern District -- A 1986 Buick with state registration SEN-327 and owned by a resident of the 5000 block of Midwood Ave. was stolen from the 1900 block of N. Rosedale St. over the weekend.

* BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Someone kicked in the front door of a house in the 3000 block of Westwood Ave. Sunday night and took stereo equipment valued at more than $900.

* SHOOTING: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 800 block of George St. was in the 1500 block of Poplar Grove St. Sunday night when he was attacked by a gunman who shot him in the back. The victim is listed in stable condition at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

* ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A deliveryman for Valley Pizza in the 2500 block of Washington Blvd. was robbed of cash and property, all valued at $18, Sunday night in the 1500 block of Spence St. by a man armed with a knife.

* ASSAULT: Central District -- Police were seeking a man who struck a female resident of the 2300 block of Callow Ave. several times with a broom handle during an incident inside the victim's home Sunday.

* THEFT: Central District -- Someone entered two cars parked in the 100 block of W. Lanvale St. Sunday morning and stole property of unknown value. Each car was entered after a window was broken.

* ROBBERY: Central District -- A man approached a woman in the first block of E. North Ave. Sunday morning, struck her and stole her purse.

* AUTO THEFT: Central District -- A rented car leased to a resident of the 1400 block of Madison Ave. was stolen over the weekend from the 1700 block of Madison Ave.

jTC * THEFT: Central District -- A watch, camera and clothing, all valued at more than $1,000, were stolen Sunday from a car parked in the 500 block of St. Paul St.

* ROBBERY: Central District -- A resident of the 500 block of Poplar Grove St. was robbed of a bag containing prescription drugs in the 800 block of W. Baltimore St. Saturday night by two men in their 20s, one of whom was armed with a handgun.

* BURGLARY: Central District -- Someone entered a house in the 1900 block of Chauncey Ave. in Reservoir Hill through a rear door over the weekend and stole several pieces of jewelry and a VCR, all valued at nearly $3,700, from the bedroom.

* THEFT: Central District -- Two tennis rackets, a carrying bag and sports clothing, all valued at more than $500, were stolen from a 1987 Toyota owned by an out-of-town resident while it was parked in the first block of W. Lanvale St. Sunday by someone who entered by breaking a window.

* THEFT: Central District -- A 9-inch TV and a VCR, all valued at $700, were stolen Saturday afternoon from a car parked in the 400 block of Water St.

* ROBBERY: Southern District -- Three men pretended to be shopping inside Fashion Cents in the 3400 block of Annapolis Road Sunday afternoon before one of them pulled out a handgun and ordered an employee to give him the contents of the cash register. The men escaped with an undisclosed sum of cash.
