2 charged in drug raid at Edgewood apartment

An Edgewood woman and a Joppa man are being held on drug charges after the Covert Operations Unit of the Sheriff's Office raided the woman's apartment in the 800 block of Windstream Way Thursday night.

Deputies seized 57 vials of cocaine, worth $2,250 if sold on the street, and $240.

Arrested at the scene were Katrina Darnell Tapp, 20, on a charge of possession with intent to distribute cocaine, and Roy Lee Cox, 25, of the 2500 block of Greenspring Avenue. in Joppa on a charge of possession of cocaine.

Both suspects were awaiting a bail hearing before a District Court Commissioner.

Car overturned in Havre de Grace

An Elkridge woman reported to Havre de Grace police that while she was visiting in the 900 block of Wakefield Drive, someone turned over her 1983 Honda car on its roof between midnight and 4 a.m. Sunday.

3' The damage was estimated at $2,000.

Equipment stolen from job site

Police said someone broke into a mobile storage shed on a job site at Canvas Back Drire and Chapel Road in Havre de Grace Tuesday night and stole two boxes of copper tubing as well as meter setting and testing equipment valves owned by the Comer Construction Co.

, The loss was valued at $800.


* 200 block of Mayberry Dr: Motor vehicle tampering, theft of address book, checks and damage to window of 1983 Ford on Jan. 14. Loss valued at $296.


* Hilltop Ave:Breaking and entering at Abingdon Fire Dept. Theft of candy and currency. Damage to candy machine.

The loss was valued at $150.

Bel Air

* 1400 block of Muirfield Close:Theft of diamond ring from residence on Dec. 25.

The loss was valued at $5,500.

5) * 300 block of W. Riding Dr: Theft of

1984 Toyota on Jan. 8. Loss valued at $2,900.


* 2000 block of Rockwell St:Breaking and entering at residence, theft of entertainment center, TV, VCR, stereo with speakers on Jan. 13.

.` The loss was valued at $1,486.


* 3700 block of Rush Rd:Lost or stolen jewelry from residence on Jan. 6.

.` The loss was valued at $2,900.



* 1100 block of Mountain Rd:Theft of mirror, shop light, stove, refrigerator, intercom, smoke detector, fan, two air conditioners, curtains, medicine cabinets, circuit breaker box and miscellaneous household items. Ceiling tiles and a window were damaged in the Jan. 5 incident. Loss valued at $3,418.
