Finksburg woman faces drug possession charge

A 33-year-old Finksburg woman was arrested after police, armed with a search and seizure warrant, raided her house and found a pound of marijuana hidden in a bucket in the attic.

Donna Jean Boggs of the 2100 block of Sandymount Road was charged with possession of the drug with intent to distribute and possession of paraphernalia.

Members of the Carroll County Task Force conducted the raid at 9 p.m. Tuesday after a two-month investigation.

When officers entered the old farmhouse just off Route 140, they found Ms. Boggs in the kitchen and observed a small marijuana plant growing nearby.


* Westminster: An intruder entered the apartment of Barry Hollenbaugh of East Green Street and made off with personal property valued at $207.

The side window of a car parked on the lot at Cranberry Mall was shattered on Sunday, the owner, Patrick W. Larkin, of Finksburg, told police. The damage estimate is $305.

Someone spray painted a garage in the rear of the 100 block E. Main St. on Tuesday. The owner, William Haifley, told police he estimated the damage at $100.

Jeff Albert, of Carrollview Avenue, reported that someone threw a building block through the front window of his house on Monday. Replacement cost is about $250.
