Man, 39, arrested after police chase

A Baltimore man was charged with burglary and 13 traffic violations after he led county police on a chase in Linthicum Tuesday.

Officers said they came upon a pick-up truck parked on Medfield Road at 12:28 a.m. and saw a man in the bed of the truck rearranging several televisions, guitars and other property. An officer began to run a check of computer records on the truck, which had an expired Virginia license plate.

The man jumped in the truck and drove off with police officers in pursuit. The chase ended in front of the North District Station on Hammonds Lane, when the truck jumped the curb.

The suspect ran into the woods but soon was arrested by police.

Police say the truck, driven by Michael Warren Bannan, 39, of the 5200 block of Windsor Mill Road in Baltimore, was filled with property stolen Monday from Baltimore County.

2 teens charged in robbery attempt

Two 15-year-olds were charged on juvenile citations with assault with intent to rob after they allegedly tried to take money from a woman outside of a Brooklyn Park convenience store.

According the police report, a 27-year-old woman was leaving the High's parking lot in the 700 block of Church Street at 7:40 p.m. when three teen-agers walked up to her and said they wanted her money.

The women refused and ran across the street to get her husband, police said. Police found the teen-agers in the coin-operated laundry next to the store and arrested them.
