5900 block of Church Ave.: County Department of Public Works buildings were damaged between Jan. 1 and Jan. 15. Two windows were shattered, possibly with a BB gun or a small-caliber gun.

6200 block of Sutton Court: Someone stole a $125 radar detector and a $75 briefcase from a 1990 Chevrolet Caprice between 10:30 p.m. Friday and 7:25 am. Saturday.

7700 block of Washington Blvd.: Someone stole a $120 Murray 24-inch 10-speed bicycle from a yard between 2:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Jan. 18.

6800 block of Old Waterloo Road: Someone shattered the rear window on a 1988 Mazda B-2600 truck between midnight and 6 a.m. Jan. 14.

3600 block of Hollow Field Court: A resident arrived home and heard footsteps upstairs about 4:30 p.m. Saturday. Nothing was taken. Police believe entry was gained through a basement sliding glass door.

Normandy Shopping Center: A green 1985 Toyota Cressida was stolen from the National Pike Crab House between 6 p.m. Friday and 1 a.m. Saturday. The Maryland plates are ZDE-885.

3100 block of Wheaton Way: A gray 1991 Honda Accord was stolen between 12:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. Saturday. Maryland plates are ZCE-898.

Main Street parking lot: A 1980 Ford was stolen between 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday. The Virginia plates are VMA-152.

2800 block of Rogers Ave.: Someone forced open a door between 9:30 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 a.m. Monday and spray-painted grafiti on the side of the house. Nothing was taken.

8300 block of Church Lane Road: A mailbox was damaged between 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

3600 block of Hereford Valley Trail: Someone shattered the rear window on a 1990 Toyota Celica GT between 12:30 a.m. and 7 a.m. Sunday.

4200 block of Lilac Lane: Someone broke a window with a rock between 7:10 p.m. and 7:40 p.m. Sunday.

8800 block of Town & Country Blvd.: Someone broke into a 1989 Chevrolet Camaro between 2 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. Monday and damaged the ignition.

New Cut Road and College Avenue: Someone smashed a passenger window of a 1992 Honda Civic between noon and 5:15 p.m. Saturday and stole a $400 Sony digital cassette player.

3100 block of Wheaton Way: Someone broke into a 1988 Nissan truck between 6 p.m. Jan. 13 and 7:30 a.m. Jan. 14 and stole $640 worth of CDs and a $400 speaker.
