Men's basketball Howard: Sophomore G-F Phil Chenier (Wilde Lake High) was named Rookie of the Week by the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. He had 23 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists in three games.

Salisbury State: Junior G Dameon Ross (Du Val High) was named by the Eastern States Athletic Conference and the ECAC Division III Southern Region. He had 89 points and 21 rebounds in three victories.

Towson State: Senior G Devin Boyd (Walbrook High) was named by the Big South Conference. He hit 22 of 24 free throws and scored 72 points in three conference victories.

UMES: Senior F Marlin Kimbrew was named by the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. He averaged 25.6 points and 5.0 rebounds in a 2-1 week.

Women's basketball Frostburg State: Senior C Nicole Bashaw was named by the Eastern States Athletic Conference. She averaged 13.0 points and 21.0 rebounds in four games.

Loyola: Sophomore F Patty Stoffey was named in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. She averaged 25.3 points on 59.6 percent shooting and 9.0 rebounds in three MAAC wins.

Maryland: Senior C Jessie Hicks was named by the ACC for the second time this season. She averaged 20.7 points and 8.7 rebounds in a 2-1 week.

Navy: Junior C Kim Cowling (Dundalk High) was named in the Patriot League. She had a career-high 26 points and 12 rebounds in a defeat of Colgate.

Towson State: Junior F Danielle Barry was named by the Big South Conference. She averaged 15.0 points and 8.3 rebounds in a 2-1 week.
