Cardin to discuss health care at Chamber breakfast meeting

Maryland Rep. Benjamin Cardin will discuss health-care issues affecting employers during a breakfast meeting Jan. 26 in Linthicum.

The Democratic congressman, member of the Ways and Means subcommittees on Health and Social Security, will speak at 8:15 a.m. at the Rose Restaurant, at Comfort Inn BWI. His appearance is part of a business leader breakfast series sponsored by the North Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce.

The chamber also has invited Reps. Wayne Gilchrest and Helen Delich Bentley and Sen. Barbara Mikulski to meetings, to discuss economic, legislative and international issues, on Mondays and Tuesdays in February and March. Dates have not yet been scheduled.

All meetings will begin at 8:15 a.m. with a light breakfast.

Chamber members and their guests are invited to all four meetings at a total cost of $50 per person, payable in advance. Payment must be received at the chamber office no later than tomorrow. Space is limited to the first 50 paid reservations.
