POLICE

* Jessup:: 8600 block of Washington Blvd.: Someone poured salt into a $1 bill changer at the 24-hour Columbia Junction Car Wash between 7 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.

* North Laurel: 9700 block of Evening Primrose: Someone stole a $5 blue nylon gym bag and a $30 black leather purse from an unlocked 1992 Isuzu Amigo between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Thursday. The bag was recovered later in a nearby trash bin.

8300 block of Haven Hill court: Someone broke into a 1983 Chevrolet Celebrity between 4 p.m. Jan. 7 and 4 p.m. Jan. 12 and stole a $100 AM-FM cassette radio.

10100 block of Washington Boulevard: Someone stole a $15 burgundy wallet, which contained several credit cards, from a purse between 2:30 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. Thursday.

9100 block of Tumbleweed: Someone broke the front passenger window and an antenna on a 1989 Chevrolet Cavalier between 10 p.m. Monday and 5 a.m. Thursday.

* Savage: 8900 block of Corridor Road: Someone entered a 1985 Volkswagen Jetta at the MARC parking lot between 8:25 a.m. and 6:40 p.m. Wednesday and stole a $5 solar-powered calculator.
