* AN OUNCE OF PREVENTION: If you worry about losing data because you've revised your document, Oz, as this little gem is called, will keep up to eight versions of your document or data file. And you can restore any of those versions.

* PASSWORD: Simply put, you can't get to your data without a password. Look for version 2.50 or higher.

* SECURITY ERASER: For killing those sensitive files you never want anyone to read, try this powerful little utility. It not only kills the file, it writes over it. Look for version 2.1 or higher.

* VIRUS FIGHTERS: To protect your PC from lost data, you should have the latest version of McAfee Associates' virus-fighting utilities.

COST: $15
