The Ashley Group has opened a fully decorated model for Delight Meadows, a Reisterstown community that will contain 29 custom homes on 54 acres off Delight Meadows Road, near Franklin Boulevard.

Built on tracts ranging in size from 1 to 3.5 acres, Ashley's homes have 3,000 square feet of living space and are priced from $270,000 to $350,000. Standard features include a Stuart Kitchen, Jacuzzi bath, Andersen windows and an attached two-car garage.

The model is at 325 Delight Meadows Road. Principals of the Ashley Group include Jay Weiss, E. Neil Tabor and Allan $H Ackerman.

Mount Clare Square

Baltimore's newest affordable-housing project is Mount Clare Square Inc., a group of 10 two-story townhouses on the north side of the 800 block of W. Pratt St.

With prices starting at $89,000, each house has two bedrooms, a fireplace, tile bathrooms, fenced backyards and off-street parking. Worthington Properties is the builder, and Laura Lintz was the architect. Rodney Carroll, a local sculptor, is fabricating ornamental iron stair rails and window grates, and craftsman Bernie Smith is making custom stained-glass window panes for the front of each house.

Three of the 10 houses have been sold, and the first buyers will take occupancy this month. Funds are available to help cover the cost of settlement for qualified buyers, and monthly mortgage payments will fall in the range of $700 per month, according to the builder.

More information is available by calling developer Lise Worthington at 547-2539.
